Kitchen update

The mighty mighty Hubster cleaned the kitchen and polished the countertops this weekend. Didn't he do a great job? I figured that this was the perfect time to snap a few progress shots (even though not too much has changed).
I love my shelves and all the lighting!

Yes, that is a rag instead of a dead bolt. It's a new trend.
The kitchen cart cubby is done!

I love using baskets as open storage because they reduce visual (and actual) clutter.
Yup, that is a rag in place of a dead bolt.
I love these baskets. I love them even more with galvanized tags! ($1 for 4, Target)

We made the kitchen kaddy kubby because we didn't want to block the access panel.
It is basically done, just needs some trim work.
I painted it soft yellow for kicks. And we can still get to the plumbing quickly if need be.
Open storage and bonus counter space. And the dog bowls slide out of sight/reach when not in use. Awesome.
Yup, that is a rag in place of a dead bolt.

There were some things I forgot on the to do list in the last post. Bummer.

We still need to:

  • Stain the other shelves
  • Make a kitchen cart cubby
  • Install baseboards
  • Install dead bolt on back door
  • Tile the backsplash
  • Knock a hole through the wall to the dining room
  • Install side panels of cupboards
  • Paint/finish kitchen cart
  • Trim top of cupboards over the stove
  • Make/hang curtains/window treatments-I have no idea what I want...ugh.
